Chad R. Eubanks

Chad Eubanks obtained custody of my 3 year old son for me after a year in court and a 3 1/2 day trial. After countless court hearings and ending with a 3 1/2 day trial in King County, he was able to show to the Superior Court Judge that our son's best interest was to live primarily with me, not with his mother who had withheld him from every chance she could. Mr. Eubanks represented in more than just one case, but four different ones at the same time (custody, domestic violence protection order, invalidity of marriage, and child relocation). Over the course of a year, I've spent days in court beside him and many hours working with him on my case and feel qualified to vouch for his skill. His demeanor was calm, confident, and poised which reflected well against opposing council during trial. Mr. Eubanks explained the legal process and expectations to me along the way which was extremely helpful in such a challenging situation. I'd reccomend Mr. Eubanks in any family law case but especially if your case is extremely challenging with the opposing party.

My ex-wife and I have been in court for years and it's been a nightmare. I've worked with other attorneys and even represented myself and usually the results were not in my favor. I found Chad while I was in the middle of a Child Support Modification case and contempt cases and the cases were a mes...s. Chad didn't have much time to work because our deadline was maybe only a week after I retained him. He did got it done and done right! He was able to come to an agreement with opposing counsel for a child support amount lower that it ever has been. He was also able to keep my cost down and not have to appear for the Child Support Modification Trial. He made sure to represent me and my best interest especially when working with the opposing attorney who wanted me to suffer and go bankrupt for her client. My ex-wife continues to take me to court and Chad has stood by me even when I was unable to have a positive balance in my trust account. Most lawyers would simply drop their client and not trust that they will be paid. Chad did not have to continue to work with me but he did. We have court again next week and I know that Chad will fight hard and win for me. He is well spoken in court and has a good relationship with other attorneys and is well respected. I am very grateful to have Chad as an attorney and I can trust that he will fight hard for me. When I work with Chad I get great results! He is worth every penny!

Chad wasn’t detail oriented or particularly strong in front of the courts. His work would come in last minute and would have typos, lack of strategy and while he was a nice guy who was empathetic with the challenge my ex and the other legal team provided it wasn’t until I went to new representation d...id I learn that if he had been more timely in sending out, ROGs, RFPs and filed appropriate documentation the process would have cost much less and I would have had a better outcome. There were some messy situations in the early days of the divorce and the slow support received in requests to the other side, requiring their client to stop inappropriate behavior or filing for relief from the courts is still traumatizing.

I hired him on a referral. I should have trusted my gut as he minimized the situation and lacked empathy from the beginning. Chad was very slow to respond to inquiries, sometimes even days. When I would ask for a call back I would get an email instead. He referred to my ex wife as my ex husband and ...blamed his front desk for that mistake. He would blame me for delays saying my paperwork wasn't detailed enough only weeks later instead of giving that feedback in a timely and specific manner so that I could fix the mistake. Just in general the care and work ethic were unimpressive and there was never a clear strategy proposed for my apparently "straight forward" case. I learned the hard lesson here to never go with an attorney based on cost or what you think you can afford. I learned that what I truly could not afford was a mediocre attorney. I have now hired a confident and sharp attorney based on Avvo ratings and reviews and not on referral. I was recently asked for a referral and told my friend to base who they hire on reviews, ratings, and cost absolutely last. My new attorney was twice the retainer and much more hourly. She doesn't waste my time and she has my back. Her communication is efficient and she is very action oriented, unlike Chad.
