I care deeply about my clients, my family and my community, and I've always worked extra hard for success in these areas.
My career started in the energy industry as corporate commercial counsel. These years allowed me to learn business and industry from the inside, and grow as a lawyer under the guidance of excellent mentorship.
Today my work is focused on advising organizations on day-to-day business decisions, including formations, contracts and real estate, in the for profit and nonprofit world. I've created structures for start-ups & small-mid sized businesses, partnership agreements, buying and selling of businesses, performed due diligence on client strategic targets, developed and helped implement policy, insurance planning, employment decisions and contracts, commercial real estate, made application for tax exemption or reinstatement, trained boards of directors, and investigated insider theft. Most clients rely on me as outside general counsel.
I've always followed my community interests, believing it my personal responsibility to give time and talents to creating a thriving world for us all. Many nonprofits have relied on me as a volunteer, a board member, an adivser, an advocate, a business lawyer, and a supporter.
I grew up in a conventional family in the northwest suburbs of Houston, Texas. I've worked as long as I can remember, beginning as a babysitter for our church community. In 2011, I started my first business.
Firsthand experience has taught me that so many people are working just as hard as I have to create an enriching life for themselves, their families and thier communities. All of these people inspire me and I take the responsibility of being their lawyer incredibly seriously.
My work has been featured in the Texas Bar Journal, American Bar Journal and Cutting Edge Law, and as a guest lecturer at the The University of Houston Law Center. I earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Texas A&M University (2001), and graduated with honors from South Texas College of Law (2004).

Will writing
Kristin was referred to me and I was glad she was. She wrote a will for me and one for my son and daughter-in-law. She is very reliable, efficient in helping us complete this. She was very personal yet professional and did what was best for us. I was very pleased and will use her again.
