Rick Klessig was so confident that we would win our case, that he did not present important evidence that I brought to the courtroom. Even when the case was extended and I begged him to present the evidence, he said that we didn't have to and to not worry about it. He would not bring up key issues ...which I thought were very important. We lost our case with the assumption that we didn't have any evidence at all to present. First he took my retainer money which I was unable to raise myself (so a friend gave me the money because it was so obvious that I needed justice) and then took 6 months to even file my case. Then when the court date was set on a day when I would be in the hospital, he told me that I had to postpone my surgery in order to be present in court, despite it being an urgent matter and doctors' orders that I stay out of court; he told me that I must be present despite doctors' orders. I felt that he considered hmself to be a judge and he didn't judge my case to be worthy. I never felt like he defended me in court. And then we lost big time and he ended up yelling at me, yet offered to file another case looking at ours from a different perspective. In addition, he missed one of our appointments and when we met again a few days later, he had a severe sunburn on his face. As a result of his negligence, I continue to be in severe debt and am facing bankruptcy. I take my children to food banks because I cannot afford basic needs. I often cry uncontrollably as a result of losing this case and just before the appeal ended up in a hospital suicidal. I went to appeal using another lawyer, we could not present any additional evidence and thus lost the appeal, but ended up in overwhelming debt. I could not file the 3rd appeal because I had no credit and no money.
