Tries To Set You Up

I was given Mr. Kaiser by the state to defend myself against bogus charges raised by the DA. Off the bat he called me a conspiracy theorist when I told him about the insurance fraud I was used as a patsy for; he kept on telling me "You won't win, just plea," while he refused to give me all the eviden...ce he had and refused to consider the evidence I had - everything I received was tailored to make me look guilty. But it gets worse, at court he lied to the judge, telling him I wanted to fire him, when all I said was "I want you to do your job!" He was trying to leave me without a lawyer, knowing I can't afford one. No one should have a lawyer like this - no one. Especially not one who gets paid by taxes and still can't find his head from his behind. Deeply disappointed.

Professional and Honest

I was arrested for the first time 4 yrs ago. I was in the Lane county jail and received information that Mr. Kaiser would be my Public defender. I wasn't from here and knew no one. Everyone was talking about "Public Pretenders" and I was thinking great, I'm screwed. Long story short, without revealin...g my charges, my case could have been picked up by the feds and probably should have. Needless to say, Robert Kaiser did his magic and I was given 58 months with programs and good time. I ended up doing 23 months. I would have probably received 10 yrs in the feds. I was lucky. Since paroling a year ago, be life is good and I have successfully acclimated back into society as an upstanding citizen. Thank you Robert!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
