This review is from a potential client who consulted with this attorney.

I contacted this attorney with a basic question about an HOA, which is listed as Mr Everett's specialty areas of practice

I contacted Mr. Everett with a basic question about whether or not it was possible to quickly activate a defunct HOA for the purpose of satisfying a lender requirement for a condo complex purchase. When picked up my call, he wanted to confirm that I would be paying him his hourly rate as of the time... I spoke to his receptionist which was about 10 minutes prior to this conversation. I replied that this this was an initial inquiry as to whether or not our objective was possible and if so, we would hire him to do the work. His reply was that other attorneys may work for free but that he didn't. I've worked with many attorneys over the years and have never been charged for a brief initial consultation to determine whether or not an attorney was best suited for the legal issue at hand. Because this determination is an important process of hiring the right attorney for any matter at hand and this attorney charges for this process that most attorneys provide free of charge, I'd highly recommend anyone looking for an attorney to work with look elsewhere.

A Class Act

Everett is a class act. When dealing with Everett he is straight forward and honest. He doesn't play games with you or your emotions. I have used him several times and he consistently performs. He is nice, kind and considerate which make dealing with him a pleasure.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
