This man is a life saver!
He was the most dedicated , caring attorney who put his whole heart and fought tirelessly to help us win our case. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Derr, except in our case he truly was life saver. He is truly golden.

The absolute best attorney you could hope for
George derr is the best attorney you could ever hope for. 3 prior attorneys told us we could not win in our case because there was no case law to support the outcome we prayed for. George made landmark history. He spent countless hours with us and on the case. Reviewing and preparing. I can not...

Don;t waste your time going to Mr. Derr
Mr. Derr didn't remember why we had come to see him. He kept interrupting my brother and I trying to give a history lesson and telling us horror stories about other cases he has knowledge of. He didn't have any interest in hearing about our case. He had made up his mind from the minute the meeting...
It is difficult, if not impossible to respond to such a complaint. Nevertheless, most good attorneys see many people. Occasionally, a client will come to see you on a matter for an initial consultation. Then several weeks or even several months later, they come back into your office and expect the attorney to remember every jot and tittle of their case, which is a practical impossibility. Any good lawyer will try to explain a clients position to them by discussing case law and prior experience. One aspect of doing trial work is you often have to tell clients bad news, they do not like hearing. From speaking with colleagues over the many years, it is not uncommon for clients to get angry with lawyer for not telling them what they want to hear. I do not get a lot of complaints, so I regret any sincere complaint from a bona fide client. One of the BIG shortcomings of AVVO is that, in order to respond fully to such a complaint, one would have to know who the client was, and maybe what the matter involved. Even then, to respond fully, an attorney would risk violating the attorney client privilege and client confidence and secrets disclosed. Occasionally, you get a client who you have to deliver bad news to. When they find out they have to pay for bad news, they get angry with the lawyer and try to get even by vilifying them using boards like AVVO, where the complainant always has the upper hand. The best means of selecting an attorney is not through bulletin boards like AVVO, but through the experience of others. Get referrals. Ask around. I am very much aware that most of my clients are thrilled with me and appreciate my efforts. The overwhelming majority of my business comes through word of mouth referrals from past clients. George
"George is an avid advocate for his clients whom he deeply cares. I was the judge's judicial clerk when George settled or won several cases in our courtroom. I endorse this lawyer."
