I can't say enough good things about this attorney!

Amy M. Hicksted was my lawyer as I went through my recent divorce. She was a lawyer who also came to feel like a trusted friend. I called her many times with many questions and she was always attentive and supportive. She listened closely to my children and to me and was a real advocate for us as ...we navigated a difficult separation and divorce with an abusive man. She was assertive in making sure that there was good communication between her and my ex-husband's attorney and always kept our needs in the forefront. Even as my ex-husband became increasingly hostile and uncooperative (as our court date drew near), she continued to pursue what was right for my children and managed to expertly secure a wonderful settlement at the 11th hour. I can't even begin to describe what a horrible experience this divorce process would have been without Ms. Hicksted. If you're looking for an incredibly intelligent, savvy attorney who also has a truly compassionate nature, look no further!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
