Didn't feel she advocated for me, but got the job done

This attorney does a decent job, but isn't superb. She's easily to get along with and prompt. However, there were several instances that I felt frustrated working with her. We would talk about the case and I would get off the phone feeling that she understood financial aspects of the case, or that sh...e understood and agreed with my proposals; however, the next time I would have a conversation with her she wouldn't be on the same page anymore. I found myself having to repeat things that I thought were already in place. There was also a instance that I wanted her to get further financial information that was important to the case and she didn't think it was necessary. However, additional banking information is important. In the end I ended up feeling that she wasn't advocating for me and that I compromised more then I should have. In court she comes off as very confident and doesn't rub the judge the wrong way. However, she didn't put together a good case for me. I also ended up paying her for reviewing documents she had already reviewed several times before (she reviewed each document about 3 times, but still didn't know the information very throughly). I think it would help if she took more notes and did a more through assessment the first time around. To summarize, she got the job done but not well. She seems smart and competent, but she's lacking experience. I wasn't told that she was a new attorney, but I paid just as much to have her as my attorney. I imagine that with more practice she could be a better attorney.
