Best choice we have ever made

I have been working with John Case and his assistant Terrie for almost three years now in a particularly ugly divorce and child support case that my ex continues to drag us into attempting to extort more money from me. When I met my new wife, she encouraged me to have a lawyer review my case and afte...r research, ended up seeking out John Case. John not only is incredibly friendly and easy to work with, he has made this process as easy as it can be, has protected my privacy, and fought for us in every way possible. He has been able to get us a long distance parenting plan, a reasonable amount of child support and he got rid of all of the spousal support and hoops I had to jump through from the original paperwork in which I had no legal representation. John is an upstanding man who is hard working, fair, and down to earth. He has taken great care to be as frugal with our money as possible so we are not using our life savings to pay him and his firm. His assistant Terrie has also been absolutely wonderful. She is quick and efficient with communication, always keeps us in the loop, is extremely organized and has always been available for any questions we might have. The biggest mistake I made was not having representation in the beginning of this, the best decision I made was hiring John to straighten it all out. He and his team have honestly changed our lives and made a terrible situation bearable.

Divorce modification case

Mr Case had previously helped me with a spousal support modification and recently helped me end spousal support. In both cases Mr. Case and his assistant were not only professional but put a human face on an unfortunate legal situation.

Ending alimony via a lump sum payoff

John H Case recently helped me bring a end to spousal support which was to last till "the death of either party". Mr. Case had the wisdom and experience to be able to advise a pay off amount that was very favorable to me, yet made it look good enough to my ex that she was willing to accept it wit...hout a big fight. He and his staff kept me informed of the progress of my case, they were polite and patient with me. He was able to avoid a costly court battle. He was definitely looking out for my best interest. A decade ago Mr, Case also successfully represented me in a spousal support appeal case. I would recommend Mr. John H Case without reservation.

Highly recommended.

I went to John Case for help with a divorce. He came highly recommended by a friend of mine who is another attorney, and I've told her at least a dozen times since how grateful I am. John has been professional, realistic and kind through a process that took almost a year and was far more difficult t...han I could have imagined. As you'd expect, I arrived at our first meeting apprehensive and unhappy, but fairly sure the process would be straightforward -- after all, my ex and I had no children together and we were both more-than-gainfully employed. John and his staff were welcoming and approachable. John listened to my story carefully, explained my options and got to work immediately. But instead of the drama-free resolution I'd expected, I found myself at the receiving end of a demand for alimony and more cash than I could possibly lay my hands on. John, who's clearly seen much worse, took it in stride and made sure that I did as well. It is not easy to be both reassuring and realistic, but he somehow managed both, and I always felt that we had a plan. I credit him and his assistant Terrie with making sure I didn't fly apart at the seams. John dealt with everything as it came up, without delay, and kept me informed the entire time. He was also conscious of cost, making sure he didn't unnecessarily "run the meter" in fees -- even when I'd bombard him with a string of emailed questions and ideas, usually composed in a fit of stressed-out insomnia. He answered my questions, advised me when to act and when to sit tight, and followed up when he said he would. I tend to be impatient with mathematical details and he made sure I understood them along with the process of valuing retirement accounts and property. John was fully prepared to take my case to trial and after some enjoyable conversations with him in the office, I'm a bit sorry I didn't get to see him present my case to a judge. But instead he did the right thing -- when a last-minute settlement offer came in and I balked ("are you kidding -- NOW they're offering exactly what we proposed months ago?!"), John was sympathetic and certainly willing to proceed, but also pointed out that he would very likely be the only one making any money if we insisted on taking it any further. In the end, my case was settled and I am getting on with my life. I would recommend John to anyone needing help with a family law matter.

John Case is Outstanding!!!

When my husband of 24 years informed me he wanted a divorce and proceeded to present me with his "divorce decree", which stated he would pay me a total of $333.00 monthly total for 2 years. After that pay 150.00 monthly till our 12 year old Son was 18 years old ! My 12 year old eats more than that ...a week!!! At the time I was a stay at home mother (at husband's family request) I knew I needed to find an attorney that would look out for my best interest. I talked to MANY...That told me what I wanted to hear, with unrealistic promises!!! John Case was highly recommend by a friend, who employed John prior for a similar situation. My anxiety melted away after the first call to his office! John and his staff handled EVERYTHING!!! Terry is John's "Right Arm" and always made herself available for my questions! They are both straight shooters. John under promises and OVER DELIVERS!!! John got me what is fair. With their help I don't have to struggle to provide for my son. If you want someone that will do what he says, hire Mr. John Case you will not regret it!!!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I recently had a family law matter with Mr. Case. I found that he strikes that elusive balance between strong advocacy and reasonableness (not just the appearance of, but true fairness). Our matter was complicated and could have easily cost each of our clients a small fortune. Instead, I think we're ending with an outcome that was best for both parties and their child. Mr. Case is a very good attorney and I look forward to working with him again."
