Biography
Wendy Fay, a partner at Zimmer, Bond, Fay & Overlund, provides clients with knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate, service through what is often one of the most difficult transitions in their lives.
Wendy’s practice includes all aspects of divorce and family law, including but not limited to, dissolution of marriage proceedings, legal separations, high asset and income cases, establishing and modifying child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal support, premarital agreements, and contempt and enforcement proceedings.
Wendy is a compassionate, pragmatic, and knowledgeable advocate for her clients. She has been focused on family law throughout her career and brings that focus and dedication to the legal issues facing each of her clients.
Wendy started her career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Robert D. Herndon in Clackamas County where she experienced numerous domestic relations trials from the court’s perspective. Following her judicial clerkship, Wendy served as an associate family law attorney, first with Hergert & Associates, then with Zimmer Family Law, and is now a partner at Zimmer, Bond, Fay & Overlund LLC. From all of those experiences, Wendy has learned how to educate clients about legal proceedings, negotiate resolutions, and skillfully present a family law case to the court.
Wendy provides sound advice, professional service, and persuasive advocacy while pursuing the goals of her clients from mediation through to trial, if necessary.
Wendy lives in Portland with her husband and cats. Originally from Maryland, Wendy learned to fly, sail, crab, and cook black-eyed peas at a young age. Wendy enjoys attempting to tame her garden, learning something new, attending theater, pretending to know about wine, and finding the humor in tough situations.
