Tenacious, Creative and Unintimidated

We were extremely satisfied with every part of Gabriel's representation. An associate at my husband's firm recommended Gabriel Watson to us after our first application was denied and we missed our opportunity to appeal the decision. We had applied to build a vacation home and our application i...nvolved a resource zone, two overlay districts, a scenic review, possibly the Gorge Commission. On top of that, a group of our "neighbors" had pooled their resources to oppose our application. With Gabriel's help our second application was approved without conditions and, because he'd taken all the right steps, our neighbors ended up actually writing letters in support of our application. From the beginning, it was clear that Gabriel had dealt with situations like ours before. He know how to change things in our application so we didn't have to apply for variances and he knew how to work with neighbors to prevent any opposition. Gabriel not only helped with the technical aspects of our application, he spent time understanding why this project was so important to us, where we could be flexible and make changes to appease our neighbors, and how prepare for every possibility. After everything was done, even the county planner reached out to thank us for making her job enjoyable and making it easy to grant approval. I would recommend Watson Law Office to anyone who has an application that would benefit from a creative multi-faceted approach. We could tell this was more than just another job or client or case and that Gabriel was genuinely excited and passionate about helping us out.

A fighter who can't stand bullies

Gabe has been representing me against my former father-in-law, a wealthy man who has sued me four times in the last three years. I've had attorneys before but none who have invested nearly the energy and time to my case as Gabe has. I first hired Gabe after being sued for the second time. The per...son who keeps suing me is worth millions and wants nothing more than to take advantage of his money and resources to hurt me and my family. He spent several days researching the lawsuits and the evidence and discovered that the other side didn't even have the right to sue me a second and third time. For the first time since this all started, I feel like I have a fighting chance at not only surviving, but fighting back in a way that will make the other side stop and give me my life back. The other side is represented by a team of seven lawyers who will do anything their wealthy client asks. They have filed lawsuit after lawsuit for basically the same thing, they have threatened to file motions for sanctions and misrepresented facts to the judges. Most of the attorneys I spoke to before Gabe said they felt bad for my situation and then apologized because they couldn't help. I'm passionate and tired of having my livelihood and my family attacked. I can be challenging to work with. Gabe has the patience and the ability to handle this with ease. I'm finally being represented by someone who takes the time to learn every in and out of my case and understands me, and my case, well enough to put up a solid fight on my behalf. When the other side gets aggressive, makes threats, or makes dishonest claims, Gabe calmly sets things straight. He doesn't lose his temper and he doesn't get rattled. He just digs in and does what needs to be done.

Malpractice Case

I spoke with Mr. Watson about a possible malpractice case after my doctor made a mistake operating on my knee and then failed to diagnose a partially severed nerve and a blood clot. I had to have emergency surgery and my doctors still won't tell me everything that's going on. Mr. Watson explained ...the most important thing right now is for me to focus on recovery and getting better. He also explained how a lawsuit would work and who I might need to make claims against. He told me that based on what I told him I have a case and that his firm would be willing to represent me. I told him I had left messages for other attorneys and was waiting to speak with them and he said it is a good idea. I appreciate that he was helpful but wasn't pushy.

I wish I'd met Gabe a long time ago.

Gabriel's experience working with the nuances of land use and zoning laws is priceless. He is creative, agressive, and thorough and that's exactly what we needed. Our property was zoned back in the 70's so when we decided to build our dream home--the County planning department had something different... to say. We had tried applying for permits twice on our own and each time we spent a whole lot of money and got nowhere. Within a week of talking with Gabriel for the first time, we had a plan and two months later we had permits. Better yet, we didn't have to go through a lot of the hurdles both we--and the County--first thought we were going to have to. Bottom line, Gabe is passionate about his work--I didn't feel like he was just our attorney--but instead, like he was working with us. He really understood where we were coming from and knew how to make things happen. I definitely recommend Gabe.
