Colleen Scott

I am a trial lawyer and litigator.  My practice focuses on medical malpractice defense with a subspecialty in birth injury claims, and representing medical professionals before their licensing boards.

Growing up in the Portland area and being raised by a certified nurse midwife, I appreciate the demands on and motivations behind medical professionals in their line of work. This gives me unique insight into birth injury cases as well as a wealth of knowledge and expertise which I bring to Hart Wagner's medical malpractice defense team.

Prior to joining Hart Wagner, I worked as a legal assistant, paralegal and contract attorney for a small plaintiff's law firm which helped me learn the practice of law from the bottom to the top. As a certified law student, I worked at the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office where I obtained early trial experience trying criminal misdemeanor cases to judge and jury. I then clerked for Judge Kantor where I learned the eccentricities of the Multnomah County court system.

When I'm not in the office, you'll find me cooking, reading, and camping with my husband and three beautiful children.
