Biography
Please visit our web site . I represent people and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases. My specialties include pedestrian and bicycle law, and representation of foster children and other children in physical or sexual abuse and neglect cases. The remainder of my caseload is a general personal injury practice. The majority of my firm's cases are defended by large insurance companies that are trying to save money on claims at the expense of a person who is least able to afford it. I earned my J.D. at Harvard Law School in 2001. I volunteer with Oregon Walks, which is Oregon's pedestrian safety organization, and serve on the City of Portland Pedestrian Advisory Committee. In Portland, Oregon where I live, nearly one half of all traffic fatalities are people walking or using mobility devices. We need more advocacy and awareness to make our streets safe for everyone. I have served as a safe streets advocate in various capacities since 1992 when I served on what was then the Oregon Bicycle Advisory Committee. I enjoy competitive cycling (cat 2 road) and spending time with my family.
