Robert T Huston

Bob Huston has been a resident ofPortland, Oregon, most of his life. He has been in private practicesince graduating from law school in 1968 and became a cofounder ofCable Huston Benedict Haagensen & Lloyd when the firm formed in1990.

Mr. Huston provides practical and technical advice on all estate planning matters, including:

• Making bequests to family members and others.
• Selecting guardians, trustees, and personal representatives.
• Minimizingtaxes (gift, income, inheritance, estate, and generation-skippingtaxes) through various forms of lifetime gifts and transfers at death.
• Evaluating methods for avoiding probate.
• Recommendingchanges in asset titles and death beneficiary designations on lifeinsurance policies, annuities, IRAs, and retirement plans to bestintegrate those items into the overall estate plan.
• Alternate methods of protecting assets in cases of incompetency.

Mr.Huston prepares all estate planning documents such as wills, trustagreements, powers of attorney, deeds, and Advance Directives (livingwills) and oversees the execution and filing of these documents.

Onall legal matters relating to the estates of deceased persons, herepresents court-appointed personal representatives of probate estatesas well as trustees and other persons who have responsibility fornonprobate estates.
