Dane R. Hansen

Professional Experience: Dane has a diverse legal background, having worked for two Salem firms as a clerk and attorney in addition to starting and managing his own practice. As a first-year law clerk, Dane focused on appellate practice and procedure, drafting several briefs for Oregon’s Court of Appeals. He even helped to obtain a Writ of Habeas Corpus for a client. Dane then went to work for a general litigation firm, focusing on contract matters involving liens and securities, but also working on some criminal matters.

Upon his graduation and admittance to the Oregon State Bar, Dane chose to establish his own practice, focusing primarily on various family law matters.  Clients who need legal help in this area are often experiencing some of the more difficult periods in their lives, and Dane enjoys the kind of service and peace of mind he can deliver to these clients.  Now with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Dane is able to carry forward the credo that the client comes first, and to add value to each matter that he is entrusted with.

Community Involvement: Dane is anxiously engaged in multiple service activities, many through his church congregation and other service organizations. He has been involved in preparing packages for disaster relief, caring for the homeless, and attending to the elderly, disabled, or less fortunate. Dane also takes an active role in state and local government matters.

Interests: Dane is an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, and hiking. When he is not personally participating in an activity, Dane is passionately rooting for the Oregon Ducks, Portland Trailblazers, and Portland Timbers.
