This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means the lawyer did something wrong but the bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Robert’s comment: “Robert stipulated to a public reprimand for meeting with a client’s child shortly after an attorney was appointed for the child. Robert acknowledged that this was in error. All other attorneys involved, including the child’s attorney, agreed that no individual was prejudiced or harmed by the conduct. The Oregon State Bar recognized that Robert’s conduct was not motivated by greed or self-interest and was simply a mistake.”

I came to Robert by way of a referral from an attorney friend of mine. He spoke highly of Robert personally, his skills as an attorney, and of his integrity. I worked with Robert for the duration of my divorce proceedings over an 18 month period. He was excellent to work with throughout: from preliminary consultation, all the way through the proceedings, and to post-settlement follow-up consultations. I found him to be fair, level-headed, thorough, collaborative, interested in the ultimate outcome, representing my interests to the fullest, and able to draw from his decades of experience in the Family Law. He was invaluable in the resolution of my divorce. I was completely satisfied with the outcome. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone in need of Family Law services.

Robert represented me during my divorce trial. I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with his performance. He never listened to my suggestions and recommendations. These things came back to hurt my case against my husband who was clearly hiding assets. He never took a strong position against opposing counsel and "we" lost big!!!
