Don Dartt earned all my trust, admiration and gratitude.

Don Dartt was recommended to me when I was looking for someone to take over my case, and it's the single best recommendation I have ever received. In the end, he truly saved the day (and my home) by successfully negotiating a fair and ample settlement from a defendant I had a claim against, who woul...d offer nothing but a counter-suit in our mediation session. Don kept me informed and realistic about the strengths and weaknesses of my case. His strategy involved looking at the facts from my defendant's vantage point so that he would not miss any important vulnerabilities (including some that my previous attorney had missed). In addition, he was thorough in understanding related case law, and in one of his finest moves he identified an obscure, little-known law about disclosures that may have been key in winning me a settlement. Don was prepared, thorough and consistent at every step of the process. He was an incredible advocate for me, while also appealing to my sensibilities of fairness and fundamental respect in his communication and conduct with my defendant. From the beginning, Don was not only diligent with his review and analysis of my case, but he was respectful to me and gave consideration to my thoughts on the case as well. He was helpful and supportive at key decision-making points, providing me with sound information about options and likely outcomes. On top of all this high quality legal help, Don worked my case on contingency, he was generous in what he charged me at the end, and he went above and beyond by negotiating down (by 400%) the fees I still owed the firm of my first attorney. If Don had not shown up and done what he did in my case, it's more likely than not I would have lost my home along with money spent on initial legal fees. I would recommend Donald Dartt to absolutely anyone, particularly anyone I cared about. He's that good.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
