Biography
Since 1993 Dan Cross' law practice has emphasized criminal and juvenile defense matters at both the trial court and appellate court levels. Mr. Cross has been a frequent speaker at legal seminars put on by the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and served on the Board of Directors of that organization from 2002 through 2006 and was President in 2005-2006. Mr. Cross appears regularly in many counties throughout Oregon including Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas, Tillamook, Columbia and Clatsop. He is widely recognized for his expertise in DUII and Ballot Measure 11 criminal cases.
Mr. Cross began his career as a certified legal intern with Saxon, Marquoit & Bertoni in Portland, Oregon in 1992 while still in law school. Upon passing the bar in 1993 he remained with the firm as an Associate Attorney. The firm became Bertoni & Todd in 1997 with Dan serving as the Senior Associate through 1999. In January, 2000 he established the firm of Cross & Lurtz in Hillsboro, Oregon. In January, 2003 Mr. Cross became a sole practitioner establishing The Law Offices of Daniel A. Cross within two blocks of the Washington County Courthouse.
