I wish this experience on no one.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Kang Law Group and attorney William Pippel. My claim was dragged out for months with little to no communication. A demand letter for $10,000 was sent without key documentation, including proof of my lost wages. When I finally had a meeting with Mr. Pippe...l, he was dismissive and made me feel like he was advocating for the other side — even questioning whether I was injured at all. I had to show him, on my phone, a doctor’s note clearly stating I couldn’t work — something he didn’t seem to have in his file. After that, he apologized and said they would go back, gather all the necessary records, and re-submit the demand. A month and a half passed — nothing was done. I terminated his services via email. Out of desperation, I contacted him again later to try and reconcile. He told me they’d had the settlement check for over a month, but I would still have to wait another week to get anything. He seemed more satisfied with his own position than mine. When I reviewed the proposed release paperwork, I was shocked to see that it seemed skewed in favor of the opposing party. The disbursement sheets I received even had different providers and amounts listed, raising red flags. I requested a breakdown of the numbers and questioned inconsistencies. Shortly after I mentioned filing a complaint with the Bar Association, I received multiple phone calls from Kang Law Group (which I did not answer). I asked for all future communication to be in writing. Mr. Pippel then responded saying he no longer represented me — even though he'd put a lien on my claim despite having done very little to advocate for me. This experience left me feeling manipulated and neglected. I cannot recommend this firm or this attorney based on how my case was handled.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
