Average, but effective with some supervision
Average attorney. Ms. Nakamura doesn't have any particular skills that set her apart and she is not recommended for any particular cases, but she is usually available and will keep your case going forward if you stay on top of her and give her a lot of reminders.

Better options are available
-Arrived late to court -Argued with the Judge, the judge had to speak with her privately -Her deputy attorney took over for the rest of the case

Didn't remember the basics of our case
Her poor reputation preceded her, but she was available and we met with her for our case. She was distracted and forgot most of the facts of our case right on our very first meeting. We decided to go with someone else.

Poor reputation among her peers, disrespectful
I was very off put when consulting with Ms. Nakamura. She spoke very poorly of her fellow attorney's and appears to have no respect for the people of Hawaii. We didn't want to work with her on our case as she appeared to have a bad reputation among the legal community.

Missed deadlines, poor communication
Unfortunately Nakamura routinely missed suspenses for court documents and was very poor at returning my emails or calls. She was always a little scatter brained and it seems like she had a bad reputation among her peers. She also seems to dislike locals, which is maybe why she ignored and talked do...
