Just more than I expected from a Lawyer!

Daryl was just more than I expected from a Lawyer. I started my petition as an alien in 2012 and had Daryl set up my papers and help on the interview. Daryl is just the kindest person, and was so patient with me during this process. After I got my 2 year green card I moved to Kauai and ended up thi...nking that it would be bad to have a lawyer far away to remove the holds of it, so I ended up hiring someone else. That was the worst thing I have done! Although my lwayer now lives close, he doesn't pay enough atention to my case, and on a lot of times I have still asked Daryl questions, who answers my emails with explanations very well organized about each step I can take, and have still helped me always when I needed. The next petition I am filling, I am definitly going back to Daryls care! =)

Very hard working, devoted, dedicated and efficient!!!

My H1B Visa petition was recently approved. I am very glad that I retained John Robert Egan LLC as migration counsel to handle my visa petition. When I look back, I think that I made the right decision in selecting my attorney. After reviewing H1B visa application for a few months, the United States... Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) demanded more evidence. USCIS sent us a Request for Evidence. That was the second time that I went through this type of paperwork to transfer my H1B to my new employer, and this time, the USCIS wanted a very fast response from me. Also, this Request for Evidence was more challenging because it wanted an evaluation of the evidence pertaining to my qualifications, in addition to documents from my employer. The evidence pertaining to my qualifications was difficult, but not unavailable. However, the USCIS has very specific criteria for the evaluator who would review my educational qualifications and experiences, and finding the right evaluator was very challenging. The law firm, in particular Attorney Mr. Daryl Takeno, invested a huge amount of time and effort in gathering all the necessary evidence. Mr. Takeno’s and the firm’s guidance was very helpful. Mr. Takeno went out of his way and used his personal contacts for some of the evidence. In addition, he did a vast amount of research to make this case strong. As mentioned earlier, finding the right evaluator to assess my qualification and experience was well-nigh impossible. Very few organizations in the US both meet the USCIS requirements and also have evaluators available while the tight schedule added to the difficulties. Only Mr. Takeno’s constant effort made it possible. I am very satisfied with the service provided by Mr. Takeno and his law firm. Mr. Takeno is very hard working, efficient, devoted, and dedicated, and he can feel for his client. Attorneys cannot guarantee the success of the case. During the time when my case was under USCIS review, I was comforted because I had a very strong feeling that my attorney, and his law firm, were using maximum effort, and trying their best to make my case strong, and finally to get it approved! Thank you so very much Mr. Takeno and Migration Counsel team!

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Since the Supreme Court decided that criminal defense attorneys are required to look into the immigration consequences of every case, Mr. Takeno has become my go-to resource answering all problems, no matter how convoluted or basic, with a patience that I rarely see in fellow lawyers. I have referred multiple immigration cases to Daryl and all were highly satisfied. I have heard from personal friends that he was calm and patient with them as he walked them through the necessary procedures to naturalize their wives. I also had him step into a particular deportation case and navigate the thorns with tact and knowledge. For immigration issues, Daryl is the person I trust explicitly."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
