Immigration Lawyer with Brains and Heart

I have known Daryl Takeno since his days as a law student, when we both worked as editors for the law journal. Daryl has a wide array of legal work experience, having worked for one of the biggest law firms in the State of Hawaii as an associate attorney. The fact that Daryl has chosen to concentra...te in the area of immigration law suggests to me that Daryl has both a passion and expertise in this area. I recently worked with Daryl in helping a Japanese client purchase a business and obtain an investment visa. Daryl was precise, prompt, and highly effective in his work. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fluent Daryl is in written business level Japanese. I would definitely recommend Daryl to anyone looking for an immigration attorney. Last but not least, Daryl is a highly ethical attorney, who will always put the interest of his clients before his own.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Since the Supreme Court decided that criminal defense attorneys are required to look into the immigration consequences of every case, Mr. Takeno has become my go-to resource answering all problems, no matter how convoluted or basic, with a patience that I rarely see in fellow lawyers. I have referred multiple immigration cases to Daryl and all were highly satisfied. I have heard from personal friends that he was calm and patient with them as he walked them through the necessary procedures to naturalize their wives. I also had him step into a particular deportation case and navigate the thorns with tact and knowledge. For immigration issues, Daryl is the person I trust explicitly."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
