I first saw Mrs. Alvarez in the halls of the Family Court House, while I awaiting my first appearance in front of a judge & represented by another attorney. She was quick & swift in her demeanor & was a "Pitbull" while negotiating for her client while she juggled back & forth between her client & the... other party. She was firm & wasn't going to settle for any less. That day, I called her office, set an appointment up & retained her with the next day or 2. She picked my case up when it was a big mess, complicated and full of drama. I knew I need someone quick, smart & tough as nail to get through this battle (Custody, visitation & Child Support). Kainani was upfront about everything, she does not sugar coat anything & was very knowledgeable in the course to take & if she didn't know or needed to get creative, she has a lot of resources & contacts with other "well seasoned" attorney's that she calls upon. So although I retained her, it was like I had a whole team behind me. My case had many twist & turns because the judge always has the final say, but she knew which legal action to take next or keep in her back pocket as a trump card. Her approach is aggressive when needed & because she's a quick thinker, as she fights for you in that court room, she knows how to quickly get out of a corner. If you listen to her legal advice & use common sense in the battle, she will fight, with all of her. She pours her passion into her clients & if your like me, emotional & always distressed, you might feel like she isn't doing enough until you get to know her because she always holds herself together emotionally & through out my year battle with her, she remained calm, cool & very persistent on my case. I now call her my "Pitbull", so much passion & love in the work she does, but when it time to get serious, she gets "down"! Because I retained another attorney prior to her, I knew exactly what the "Nickle & Dime" game was about because that is exactly what the cheaper attorney was doing to me & I got little to no/slow results. Kainani will bill accordingly to what is fair & you will see results in her work. She is worth every dollar I spent on this case with her. A good attorney isn't always the most expensive attorney, but a good attorney will have a higher fee than most. Nothing is guaranteed in the court system, but give yourself the best chance you can get & retain her! I am 1000% glad I did & she won me everything I asked for, FULL LEGAL & PHYSICAL CUSTODY, NO VISITATIONS, BACK AND CURRENT SUPPORT AS WELL AS THE FATHER HAVING TO PAY 50% OF OUT POCKET EXPENSES. It does not get any better than that & trust me, she had to fight & fight hard for a year to get that for me. I am grateful for all that she did, she went above & beyond & now my son is with me forever.... SUPPORTED by the father. Thank you Kainani.
