I got a speeding ticket in Maui and contacted Attorney Damir. He is the only lawyer in Maui that is available through Metlife legal plan. He asked for a copy of the ticket, what happened and my legal plan information that I shared via text. After that, he went radio silent. I followed up twice on tex...t messages over a week and left him a voice email. No response for ~2 weeks. I totally understand if he told me that he is not able to represent me but no communication with a potential client seems a bit bizarre and unprofessional. Bit surprised that a a lawyer does not have the basic courtesy to communicate with his potential clients whether he can represent or not represent their case. Stay away from such lawyers!

I was charged with a DUI last Dec. I went with the public defender, because I did not have the money to hire an atty. The original charges were amended to a violation of a county code and the fines were reduced exponentially (to almost nil) The amount of money spent on attorney fees was more than made up for in money saved in fines and legal troubles.
