Alita de Asis

Alita was a referral from close friend who raved about her excellence in service. During my first consult with Her I could already tell that she cares a lot for her clients and I was in need of switching over to a female who could understand where I was coming from as a mother or as a primary parent.... What a stood out for me with Alita is that she is very detailed, organized, and honest. She would always make time for me even if it was in evening hours she was willing to be flexible for that working parent. I was looking for someone to listen to me and put action behind it not just hear me and wing it the day of hearings. She came into my case a year in a half into divorce and was able to help settle it in one hearing. Through communication she was able to work with the other lawyer to look out for best interest of the children first and then the client. The best decision I made was to hire Alita, she told me it's harder to undue something once the decree or any agreements are made so even if it's last minute she encouraged me to review her background first before switching. The way the reversals were made was through heartfelt and passionate presentation of the FACTS and much needed counter-arguments (obtained through painstaking research and diligent work) in the courtroom and having the moral conviction to call out the lies in front of the judge. Sometimes the truth hurt, but it was needed for what was needed to make positive changes with me. Alita truly puts her heart and soul into her work. As a client of hers, we felt more like family throughout this process. She ALWAYS keeps the interest of the children (especially since they don't always have a voice in this convoluted process of legal proceedings) at the forefront of her work. As a party in litigation, it often becomes difficult to see through the bloody mess of the emotions that invariably arise from difficult situations that surround the family court system. I have been guilty of that. While I have certainly had the interests of my children at heart as I fought for them, I would sometimes find it difficult to navigate through the anger of the moment because of the inexplicable actions by a spiteful former. She empathized, however, would always keep me on the moral straight and narrow, doing the right thing. Always. And the situations have always gone favorably as a result. Of course, there is not way to guarantee ANY outcome in the courtroom. Alita never promised any of that, ever, and neither shall I. She DID, however, commit to giving her full effort and attention to the case, and undoubtedly, that is exactly what happened and more. I cannot recommend any lawyer more highly than her (she is the seventh attorney I have had dealings with throughout my life, the third in the family court system).
