Steven Riley has been practicing law since 2011. He is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California; the State of Oregon; and the U.S. Federal District Court. With a well-rounded background, Mr. Riley primarily focuses his attention in California Workers Compensation.
Education
After majoring in political science with a minor in history at Abilene Christian University, Mr. Riley earned a Master's Degree in Education. Finally, he graduated Magna Cum Laude at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While attending law school, he was an editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review. He was an accomplished oral advocate competing with Thomas Jefferson's Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Alternative Dispute Resolution teams. Mr. Riley was recognized as a Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, a Jefferson Fellow, and received numerous high grade awards.
Professional Career
Mr. Riley began his professional career as a public school teacher. From there, he transitioned into law working numerous internships in criminal, education, and family law.
During law school, Mr. Riley worked for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office, the California Superior Court, and the California Attorney General’s Office. He also interned at San Diego Unified School District’s Legal Office and mediated small claims cases. Mr. Riley has appeared several times before the California Court of Appeals successfully arguing criminal cases.
Mr. Riley worked with local law firms before opening up his own law office. Mr. Riley founded Redding Law Offices to practice Workers' Compensation to help those in need of treatment and knowledge. In 2016 Redding Law Offices merged with several other firms to form Workers Compensation Law Center. In 2019, Mr. Riley again set out on his own founding Riley Law Offices.
