Attorney Wood filed my Chapter 7 in 2011 and that went smoothly, which as was relief. I was very nervous initially, and all I expected from bankruptcy was to receive a discharge and nothing more. However, prior to filing my case, Mr. Wood instructed me to keep all collection notices and bank statem...ents of any kind, and to record all collection phone calls as these might be violations giving me a cause of action for damages. I have followed Mr. Wood’s instructions and carefully kept all such documents, and it has really paid off. After I filed bankruptcy, I continued to receive many statements and collection letters from banks and other creditors, stating I still owe a balance on loans that were discharged in bankruptcy. Had I not been instructed by Mr. Wood to save these, I would have tossed them all in the trash; that would have been like flushing money down the toilet. Mr. Wood has used the statements I saved as evidence of violations of my stay and or discharge injunction to sue two major banks for me so far. The first case settled for $35,000 and the second case just settled for $30,000. I know Mr. Wood settled a similar case for another client for $130,000. As it turns out, filing bankruptcy can be very lucrative, because so many creditors and debt collectors simply ignore the bankruptcy stay and discharge, and continue to attempt to collect on debts, thereby giving rise to claims for significant damages. Mr. Wood is now preparing a third case for me against another major bank, as well as maybe twenty or more cases for FCRA violations because creditors continue to misreport discharged debts on my credit report. My Chapter 7 with Mr. Wood is turning out to be a huge money maker for me. I have heard that most bankruptcy attorneys never bother to pursue these kinds of claims, they just get you the discharge and then you are on your own; not the case with Mr. Wood. Mr. Wood never stops looking out for your rights, be it before filing the bankruptcy, or after. For these reasons, I would highly recommend Atty. Tracy Wood to be my attorney for future references.
