Uncle in Sacramento volunteered to be his guardian. Assigned Judge stalled the case for several months but eventually granted the order. Unfortunately the judge stalled this case so long, the order was granted a few days after applicant was deported by ICE to India. This was a hard one case requiring submission of several briefs.

East Asian Indian "minor" male 20 years of age, entered the U.S. without inspection near Calexico, CA, intending to seek asylum was immediately apprehended b ... y U.S. Border Patrol and held in ICE detention at Imperial Regional Facility, then moved to Folkstone ICE Processing Center, Georgia. Aunt in Fresno volunteered to be his guardian. Assigned Judge stalled the case until applicant nearly aged out at 21. Was able to have case reassigned to a different judge who granted the order on an ex parte application just before age out. Applicant was then able to get out of ICE detention and adjust status without the need to file asylum. This was a hard one case requiring submission of several briefs.
