David Banks salvaged my divorce case after it had been abandoned by another Chico, CA law firm that, unbeknownst to me, specialized in personal injury cases and that was hopelessly backlogged. He was recommended to me by another Chico attorney whose schedule couldn't accommodate my needs and seems we...ll respected within the close knit legal community in the area. Mr. Banks reviewed the documentation and court orders that had accumulated to date then quickly proceeded to get the case on the court docket for trial so as to end the "temporary support" order His review showed the support order had been issued based on questionable submissions by opposing counsel, something the previous attorney had completely missed. Mr. Banks also successfully countered opposing counsel's efforts to delay the trial in an effort to prolong said support payments. In pre-trial discussions with the presiding judge, Mr. Banks obtained a settlement that ended all support payments and saved thousands in legal fees that would have arisen had the case gone to trial. While not the flashiest or most outspoken of the attorneys I observed in action during this unfortunate episode of my life, Mr. Banks certainly bests them all when it comes to professionalism and personal integrity.

I had hired David to help with my divorce and child custody situation. We are going over a year now and not a single thing has been done. He’s very money hungry and has no problem continually asking for more. Why pay someone who is supposed to help you thousands of dollars and get no where? He also w...as helping my ex wife while being my lawyer which shouldn’t have happened. If I could give 0 stars I 100% would. If you want your money wasted on vacations that he goes on all the time then he’s your guy. He doesn’t answer emails or cell when out of the office either so for emergency’s you’re on your own.
