I represent injured workers, recovering benefits for on-the-job injuries. These cases are resolved/tried before the WCAB, an administrative agency of the state. The client pays no fee directly to the attorney. The judge awards a fee at the end of the case, usually 12% The insurer pays for all medical treatment and pays for some living expenses.

I was a public defender in Lake County (California) for two years. I represented people accused of misdemeanors such as DUI, domestic violence, drug use or possession.

I represent people who have sustained injury from whatever source. If not settled, these are proceedings in civil court whereas on-the-job injuries are processed in administrative proceedings.
