This lawyer completely dropped the ball on my case. She told me one deadline for turning in documents in person and then later told me she had said an earlier deadline when it became clear the ball had been dropped. When I turned in the documents well over a week earlier, all I got was a commun...ication from her paralegal that they were received and she would be contacting me to schedule an appointment. After numerous follow ups, right up until the court deadline to turn them in, nobody said she wouldn't have time to review and help me with my filings and she never got back to me to make an appointment. The last day when I was freaking out, I finally got a response saying it was my fault for not turning them in sooner and that I should have called them to make an appointment. Then I got a large bill almost zeroing out my retainer for "case management" for work done that same day, despite not even bothering to respond to a basic question about my filing or the fact that I asked her not to review the documents at that point since it was too late.
