Jessica Ann Warne

I have resided in the Sacramento area since 2004 and graduated from Pacific McGeorge School of Law with a Business Concentration in May, 2011.  During law school, I clerked for a civil litigation attorney who handled housing and employment discrimination cases.  I also served as a law clerk at California Indian Legal Services, where I worked with clients on environmental, tax, public benefits and constitutional issues.  Beginning in late 2010, I served as a Deputy Commissioner for the California Department of Real Estate (now the Bureau of Real Estate), where I helped to implement the California SAFE Act, a new law that increased regulation of mortgage loan originators.  I later served in the Department of Real Estate's Legislative Unit, analyzing and reporting to executive agencies on legislation affecting the Department. 

Prior to law school, I was employed as an administrator in the field of commercial real estate, working for a multi-national corporation and later for a smaller Bay Area company.  I began my career in real estate in 2002 at a small north coast investment firm, where I worked closely with the VP/Counsel to form single-purpose business entities and ensure their compliance with the business and tax laws of several states.
