Jaclyn Leigh Powell

Jaclyn grew up in Los Angeles and migrated to Northern California to study at the University of California, Davis. While at Davis, Jaclyn majored in Communication and double minored in Economics and Education. She also spent time studying abroad in England and graduated from UC Davis with honors.

After college, Jaclyn attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. During law school, she served as a writer and editor for the McGeorge Law Review and spent time studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria under Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court. Jaclyn earned several Witkin Awards, graduated with distinction from McGeorge and was admitted to the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society for her achievements.

Jaclyn has represented hundreds of local businesses and individuals in corporate transactions and civil litigation. She commonly represents businesses as outside counsel and assists with their day-to-day business needs. A majority of her time is spent advising or litigating in the areas of business, real estate, construction, land development, and employment. In 2013 alone, Jaclyn has negotiated and closed commercial transactions totaling tens of millions. Jaclyn tirelessly advocates for her clients, and endeavors to provide cost effective service in every aspect of her practice.

Jaclyn has spent time in over thirty-five countries and always looks forward to racking up more frequent flyer miles. She is a proud West Sacramento resident and a passionate animal rescue advocate. Jaclyn also spends a significant amount of time working with a number of community groups including The Mighty Rotary of West Sacramento, the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, as well as the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court.
