Peter Min-Su Kyung

I rarely write reviews, but the experience my wife and I had working with Peter Kyung and his team was so exceptional that it deserves to be shared. We worked with Peter on my wife's K1 visa and her green card. This was a long and complicated process, but Peter thoroughly prepared us for every st...ep and made sure that we didn't run into any problems. We were endlessly impressed by his responsiveness (he replied to most of our emails in a matter of minutes), attention to detail, and thoughtfulness. You really do feel that he cares personally about his clients, and it shows in his work. His colleagues were also outstanding, particularly Jennifer Chavez. We're looking forward to working with Peter again in a few years when it's time to file for the I-751, and really can't recommend him enough.

I normally do not write reviews, but in this case it is a pleasure to do so. Simply put, Peter Kyung is fantastic! My case was a spousal based green card application. I had considered filing the application myself. It didn’t seem too hard. But as I did more research I quickly came to the conclu...sion that it was more complicated than I had originally thought. The danger was not in what I knew but in what I did not know that I did not know. I needed a lawyer. I have worked all over the world in my job and have worked with many different attorneys to solve business and regulatory problems, but I have never met an attorney like Peter. Peter is a founding partner of Carson & Kyung, a dynamic and growing law firm in Sacramento. His speciality is immigration law. He is very busy, yet from my very first meeting with him I felt like to him I was the most important person in the world. He explained the application process, told me what documents he needed and gave me a realistic assessment of the timelines for each step. He was quickly available by phone or email whenever I needed him. From the very beginning I knew I had made the right choice. Peter and his staff know how to build a file that persuasively shows compliance with the law and regulations. My application and supporting documents was 281 pages. And that was supplemented with another 108 pages submitted during my interview. The green card was approved shortly after the interview. There are no words to describe what a wonderful immigration lawyer Peter is. He establishes a close rapport with his clients, which I feel is one of his many strengths. After almost a year and a half journey with him, I can confidently say now I am a US citizen. I can’t thank Peter enough about helping me and encouraging me to make it to the finish line strong. I will highly recommend him to anyone I care about including my friends and family.

I met Peter when I was in desperate need of some guidance and support for my naturalization application. I had previously been denied for my citizenship due to a DUI conviction. I could not afford to wait for 5 years before re-applying, as I am planning to get married to my fiancée who lives abroad. ... I figured it would be best for me to get some help to ensure I have a very strong case. I met a few attorney’s prior but as once I had my initial meeting with Peter, I knew he was the one. He was very friendly, calm, and provided detailed explanation to every questions and concerns of mine. He was very assuring and someone I felt I could immediately trust in. He did not jump into my case by trying to submit it as soon as possible (which is what the other attorneys told me), but instead he gave me detailed instructions on what we need to do together to build a very strong case. I followed his instructions and his checklist to prepare the exact documents that we needed for my case. He was very clear, concise and it was easy to tell that the case mattered to him and he cared about its success. Which was the most important thing I was looking for in an attorney. We prepared the application and all of my supporting documents to prove that I was a persona with good moral character, despite my DUI conviction. We submitted the complete application after a thorough review by Peter to ensure everything was accurate. We then waited for the interview notice. Peter was always there to answer any of my questions. He would always respond within minutes, even on weekends. He would provide very valuable answers, sometimes to those questions that were not even related to my naturalization case. He seriously is a gem of a guy. He prepared me thoroughly for my interview and was right by my side supporting me during the interview. He made me feel comfortable and confident, and together we came out with an approval letter. I am now scheduled for my oath ceremony in 2 weeks and I cannot thank Peter enough. I would recommend Peter to anyone who wants not only a very intelligent and smart attorney, but a friend that will understand you and care about your case. He is very passionate about what he does and his attention to details helps build the strongest of cases that are highly likely to be successful.
