This may be a lengthy review - I couldn't find a shorter way to describe my case. It's worth knowing that when things seem to get "complicated" in some legal immigration cases, you have the support of an AMAZING attorney, such as Peter, makes everything go smoothly and increases the chance of success.... Peter and I go way back! I first hired him in 2013 to apply for a Green Card - being an immigrant in a new country you definitely want to have the best representation, and the best backup team. We all know how challenging it can be to get permanent status in the US, and all of the insecurities that come along with that. Since my first phone call with Peter, I knew that he was going to have my back and be there for me, fighting for my case. He was a solid choice. After a very pleasant and successful meeting with him we decided to file all of my paperwork. I got my work permit within weeks from filing and later on, about 3 months, I got my Green Card - the usual wait time back then was from 6mo. to a year! I got mine way faster than if I had done it on my own. Unfortunately, my case would take an unexpected turn - I would be filing for divorce within the 2 year grace period before being able to get the 10 year Green Card. I honestly thought I was going to be denied or even deported. Long story short, Peter came through once again! We filed for a petition to still consider my case to be in good faith so that I could obtain my 10-year Green Card. After a bit of wait, I finally GOT IT! It was unbelievable. Years would pass. Peter kept checking in and reminding me that I was eligible to apply for citizenship. I honestly thought I would stay as a Permanent Resident for the rest of my life, but after considering all the options and seeing the positives of becoming a citizen, we decided to file for my naturalization in November of 2021. After a short wait, I got my interview date. If I ever had a question, doubt or I was nervous about my soon-to-come interview, Peter was there for me. He responded to all of my phone calls and all of my sometimes anxious emails. He always reassured me that there was nothing to worry about, and that I had a solid case despite what I thought. He definitely gave me the confidence I needed. On the day of my interview he came all the way to San Francisco to be with me throughout the whole process! It definitely made a huge difference to have his support and encouragement in the waiting room, as well as DURING the interview. Everything worked out in the end. The interview was short, solid and there was not a single issue. I was even able to take my oath the SAME DAY of the interview! And, a month later got my passport in the mail. Unreal. Peter was there EVERY step of the way, from 2013 all the way to me getting my Citizenship this year. He used to tell me that he wasn't going to rest until I obtained my US citizenship, and once again, he proved that he was dedicated to me and to my case. I cannot thank him enough for his help, support, attention to detail, professionalism, positivity, and just his great attitude and personality. You really get a sense that he genuinely cares about his clients. He's TRULY a great attorney, a great human, and now after all these years of getting to know him, a good friend.
