Very Professional & thorough every step of the way.

Matthew has been a very dedicated attorney throughout my immigration journey - from applying for a K-1 Visa beneficiary, conditional permanent residence, permanent residence and finally, Naturalization/ U.S Citizenship. He has strong knowledge in his domain, is proactive & quick at processing paperwo...rk, can multitask and met every deadline. It has been a pleasure working with Matthew. He is a wonderful & interesting person to learn from. I'd highly recommend him if you are considering immigration.

K-1 Visa Case

Matthew is thorough, he knows the laws and is dedicated to making your case move through the system in a timely manner without interruption. He is always professional and is always looking out for your best interests. As a matter of fact, he saved my wife and I money on two different occasions. The f...irst was filing an extension for her work card and the second instance was when we had our green card interview. The USCIS agent informed us that Novy's medical had expired and that was the only delay in issuing the card. When I told Matthew, he promptly wrote a letter (at no additional charge to me), questioning the validity of the agent's judgement, as a result we received a letter of action followed by a green card, without having to go through a second medical exam, thus saving us $250.00-350.00. In conclusion, he is good at what he does and I would, and have, recommended him to friends and family.

I love it when I get to teach the USCIS about their own rules they are attempting not to follow, while at the same time saving my clients money and the hassle of undergoing an unneeded government ordered medical exam. In this case, at the spousal interview at the Montgomery Alabama USCIS office the officer would not approve my client's greencard unless she went and had a full medical examination performed. What the officer apparently didn't know is that if someone enters the USA with a K-1 fiancee visa and had her overseas medical exam within a year of filing for the greencard; unless a Class A medical condition was found during the medical exam abroad, no new USCIS medical (from a civil surgeon in the USA) is required. A well written and documented letter sent to the director of the Montgomery USCIS District Office not only resulted in approval without the new medical exam, it likely resulted in some training for that officer who didn't know the rules!

Eye For Every Tiny Detail

Having had a rough experience doing the application ourselves (only for it to be denied), we were glad of the help and meticulous guidance he provided us. We were told exactly what to send and how to fill in the forms in detail with nothing being left to chance and given time lines to work with so th...at we had an idea of how long each stage would take from the forms and them reaching the centre to the processing times and rough estimates around the interview stage also. We cant recommend Matthew Udall's services enough and are really grateful for everything he has done for us.

‘A Lawyer you’ll swear by. Not at!’ Continued….

Immigration can be overwhelming for most couples since it involves two different countries, time, distance and unavoidable legalities. The Legal part is absolutely necessary and therefore unavoidable. That said, the only other element within one’s control is how one manages the ‘overwhelming’ part.... Fortunately, choosing Matthew as our Immigration attorney was one of the best decisions Andy - my now Husband and author of the recommendation ‘A Lawyer you’ll swear by. Not at’ (posted on this website, dated October 25, 2015) - and I have ever made. In doing so we completely got rid of the ‘overwhelming’ part! Our K-1 Finace Visa (the first step in the immigration process that allowed me to travel to the United States with the intention of marrying Andy) was approved and issued in 5 months. Thanks to Matthew, this was smooth and hassle free. (At this point, reading Andy’s comments may help you understand the process and the pivotal role Matthew played) The Immigration process however does not end with the K-1 Visa. Once I entered the U.S and we got married, we continued to work with Matthew, this time, to apply for an ‘Adjustment of Status’. Despite both of us now being in the same country and this phase of Immigration being less complicated than the K-1 Visa phase, Matthew’s attention to us as clients and detail to his work continued to be professional. This is truly noteworthy and we will always appreciate the personal touch in the way Matthew managed our case from his articulate emails, preparatory phone calls, timely execution/ filing of important paperwork to updates and much more that ensured we were always one step ahead of the game. After we got married and I applied for an Adjustment of status , it took about 3 months for my EAD work card and (conditional) Permanent Resident Status to come through. The officer at the Spousal interview (the final stage just before approval) complimented us on how thorough our paperwork had been filed and that right there is the result of working with a good attorney for immigration!! Did I mention, at no point did we ever feel overwhelmed, confused or intimidated by what would normally, understandable be a very overwhelming situation. All thanks to Matthew. That said, while Matthew will do more than his fair share to ensure success rates in all his cases, it is equally important for the client to make sure they do their part (furnish information timely and accurately, complete tasks and processes needed of them etc) for the equation to work well. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Matthew. He is one heck of an attorney who is passionate about his work, ensuring his clients will swear by and not at him!!

Professionalism and Extreme attention to all of the details.

We hired Mr. Udall to help us out with the K1 process. Although we had hurdles to overcome in our own lives, Mathew was always on top of where we were, and what we needed to do next. His correspondences vie e-mail were always very timely. His e-mail that listed documentation requirements was not alwa...ys the fun part to gather, but it did put us in a much appreciated position, of feeling well prepared for the interview process. Leaving the interview process, we felt that we were over prepared. This was not a bad thing to happen when your nervous. He knows what Immigration Officers are looking for, and paved a very smooth path for us. I would recommend Mr. Udall in a heartbeat.
