He represented the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), the largest creditor in the City of Vallejo chapter 9 case. His recent chapter 11 clients include the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Heller Ehrman, California Department of Transportation, the franchisor of the public-private toll road in the South Bay Expressway Chapter 11 case, Capital Corp of the West, a holding company for a bank seized by state and federal regulators, and several residential and commercial real estate developers. He was special bankruptcy counsel to the California Attorney General in numerous cases, including Pacific Lumber, PG&E, Worldcom, and Enron.
