Robin Kerry Perkins

I  have  successfully practiced business and employment litigation for more than 20 years before federal, California and Nevada trial and appellate courts. I have conducted numerous jury trials, arbitrations and mediations on a broad range of legal issues including discrimination and wrongful termination claims, wage and hour claims, matters involving corporate and partnership disputes, fraud claims, contract disputes, construction defect claims, real estate litigation, securities litigation, and insurance bad faith claims.  In 2005, I successfully argued and obtained a unanimous decision from the California Supreme Court in an insurance bad faith case entitled O’Riordan v. Federal Kemper Life Assurance, (2005) 36 281. In 2011, after obtaining a jury verdict in favor of my client, I successfully argued and obtained a uninimous decision from  the 3rd District Court of Appeals in Holmes v. Petrovich Development (2011) 191 1097 

Professional Activities

Mr. Perkins was admitted to practice in California in 1987. He is licensed to practice before all California Courts and the United States District Court, Eastern and Central Districts of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Sacramento County Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section). Mr. Perkins taught legal research and writing at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and Lincoln Law School. In 1998, Mr. Perkins was selected by the Roseville City Council to serve as a member of the city’s Personnel Board. He served as the Chairperson for the Roseville’s Personnel Board until December 2008.
