Charges Dropped due to Mr. Raven's Help

We were referred to Mr. Raven by a former student of his at U.C. Davis Law School. Out of all the lawyers and police officers I spoke to during my case, he was the only one a bit skeptical that it would be dropped. And he was the only one correct. Without him, we would have had no idea what we were g...etting into and I am positive we would've taken the wrong deal. Instead, he was supportive every step of the way, even before we took him on, and he had advice for every possible situation. In the end, the charges were dropped, through his expert handling of the DAs, and we are extremely grateful for all of his help.

Responsive & Honest

Jeff did an excellent job of getting my difficult case dismissed. I never felt in the dark or confused about what the status of my case was and he was always responsive. Further, he didn't try and sell me on the outcome and was very honest.

When you need results rather than promises, go to Jeff Raven.

I might come off biased in my review, let me assure you that I am not. I empathize with those who face fighting an untrue charge or even those wanting to repay a debt to society but face unjust penalties i.e. whether you're innocent or guilty- I'm talking to you. My circumstance was such that I w...as innocent but facing extremely motivated prosecution. Initially I hired a well known defense attorney locally and at first was confident in his commitment to my case. Fast forward 10 months at the preliminary hearing- turns out building my defense, all the confidence building speeches were just that- no action had been taken to build my case and the guy suggested I plea knowing I was innocent. See my case was not simple, evidence surrounding my defense was not readily obtainable and understanding the entire scenario tool time and compassion- even empathy. That's when I spoke to friends and family who suggested Jeff. Remember my case was 10 months old and nearing trial with more or less no beneficial work done by my previous attorney; Jeff knew that and at our first meeting he got into my file and we started building a defense. Jeff was able to get the trial moved forward but he still had an exorbanant amount of work to defend me. Here's where he stands out- I don't know if the moment happened when he realized I was falsely accused or he's just like this but, that guy worked as hard on my case as I think is possible while running a practice and eating/sleeping. There was a point where he was putting 12-16 hours a day in to prepare for trial. He saw me and what I stood to lose in a light that made me confident again- confidebt this guy was going to get the truth out at trial. As for the trial, Jeff is amazing. The guy is intelligent and has a candor about him that demands respect- that helps a lot when you're in the defendants chair. I was never left wondering what was happening and things I knew that might help the defense were always treated with respect- he listened to me because nobody knew the facts of the case better than me.... he might've at that point but he listened to things that came to mind as the prosecution presented their case. The outcome? I was the subject of a 6 day jury trial wherein the jury convened and came back with a verdict in less than 1 hour. That verdict was not guilty across the board- that's what Jeff did for me, even though I wasn't guilty, once charges were filed I had to get that across to a jury. That's not an easy thing to do but Jeff.... Jeff represented me like I was family. He made sure everyone in that courtroom knew I was innocent. I'm forever great fun for that and have no hesitation in recommending Jeff Raven.
