Derek cleared his calendar and reacted to our needs immediately. Derek was incredibly professional and competent. He made several personal appearances on my daugh...ters behalf and kept me up to date with every development. The end result of Derek's representation was better than I could have ever imagined. I was referred to Mr. Decker by a fellow Real Estate associate, who really sang his praises. As an investor in Real Estate, some of the transactions were involved in are creative and atypical of traditional transactions. He carefully and thoughtfully reviewed the base documents I provided, and... offered important and imperative state specific clauses that were missing. He even provided me a free document for sellers disclosures and explained why it was a good idea to have that handy, even though I am not responsible to provide that as a buyer. He returned all my phone calls, emails in a prompt manner. I needed the documents to be reviewed and revised under a time crunch, he easily obliged. Even when I called back to cancel the rush (my meeting got postponed) he said he had already set that time aside for reviewing my documents and had them to me by the original time frame he stated. I did not feel pressured or up sold. He did not try to extract a large sum of money from me, or advise me to scrap the documents I already had in efforts to charge me extra. Since then, we chatted a few times since then about other business issues and even a personal family real estate concern I had. This attorney was helpful, polite, fair, easy to deal with, great listener and very understanding. my interactions with him have proved his character and his commitment to his clients. He provided thoughtful solutions and offering to check in with some of his business and legal circle for clear second opinions and additional answers to my concerns and questions. I can genuinely sigh a breath of relief knowing I have Mr. Decker added to my business team. ***I would also like to mention, before finding Mr. Decker, I had another attorney review my documents, who I can only assume, wasn't equipped to review them. The previous lawyer, had ample time to review my documents, a week or more and very plainly told me everything looked fine but he wasn't versed in the style of Real Estate investing. He made no notes, no revisions, no state specific revisions. Nothing... By far, one of the best experiences I have with lawyers, both personally or professionally. Finding an honest, honorable and considerate attorney is equivalent to finding a needle in a haystack!!! p.s. I don't actually know the personal that gave Mr. Decker a discredited review. However, I literally do not have one negative thing to say about Mr. Decker. Myself and the person that referred me, both think very highly of him. He saved me alot of money and headache by updating and revising these documents!!! I also referred Mr. Decker to my fiance who is dealing with an Entertainment infringement case. I have also referred him to other fellow real estate investors.
