My dad influenced me to become a lawyer. My dad was a was diagnosed with a genetic eye disease snd became disabled. I saw him struggle financially. from that time on I became fascinated with how the legal system can help people that are in difficult situations.

I practice criminal defense and have learned with time that I really enjoy DUI defense, and I enjoy helping people with drug and alcohol issues in their life. I like helping people be able to move forward in their life. I like using the law as a sword and a shield to protect and advocate for a fair resolution of the case. Somtimes you also just have to go to trial and stand your ground. I also have learned to do some post-convictioni motions to reduce felonies to misdemeanors, or motions to vacate convictions for immigrants. I have also developed a focus on protecting immigrants and minimizing deportation risk in the criminal plea process. 

I have also started filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy and I am learning a great deal about the powerr of the bankruptcy rules, as well as how to advise people properly before filing bankruptcy, and then using the bankruptcy to stop lawsuits, wage garnishments, and bank levees. Also, the bankruptcy discharge can be powerful in defending the debtor in court after the bankruptcy case has concluded.
