Lauren Jones

Lauren Jones, born and raised in Southern California, moved to the Sacramento area in 2004 to complete her undergraduate education. She received her bachelor's degree in philosophy with a minor in psychology from U.C. Davis in 2006. During her last year of undergraduate studies, Lauren interned at a local family law firm, and after graduation, she began working as a paralegal/legal assistant in the areas of workers' compensation and civil litigation/subrogation.

In 2009, Lauren was admitted into Lincoln Law School of Sacramento. During her second year she became Student Bar Association Secretary, and in 2012 she mentored with Honorable Thad A. Blizzard of Sacramento County Superior Court. Lauren graduated from Law School in May 2013 where she ranked number 15 in her class and received the award for best Trial Advocacy Team.

In 2013 she became a member of the California State Bar. In 2014, she started Gallagher Jones LLP with her business partner Kathleen Gallagher. After over seven years of practice, being selected a Super Lawyer Rising Star among her peers from 2018-2020, being selected as Sacramento’s Best of the Bar in 2019, and then being selected as Sacramento Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 in 2020, time came for her to step out on her own.

Lauren has experience in Estate Planning (revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advanced healthcare directives, living wills, HIPAA authorizations, probate and estate administration) and Business Law (formation, corporate governance, general counsel, contract drafting and negotiation, non-disclosure agreements, employment contracts, intellectual property, dissolution, and litigation).

When not diligently advocating for her clients, Lauren enjoys painting, photography and spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends.
