not professional at all !!

I contacted this lawyer to help me with my restraining order and to represent me at my hearing. During our first phone conversation, he asked me to email him 60 pages of restraining orders so he could see my wife's accusations against me. I had to pay over $120 for faxes. When this lawyer received my... restraining order, he called me to ask me 3 questions, this lasted 10 minutes. He told me that he would finish reading the restraining order and then call me back. I waited hours, days without a call from this lawyer. I left him emails, voice mails... he never answered me. I then decided to call him back and he told me bluntly that he could not help me because my wife's accusations were serious and he did not want me to lose my money. that my wife has a 97% chance of winning her case and that I should find another lawyer! This lawyer is not professional, serious, he made me waste my time, my money and when you are a lawyer, you do not speak to the client like that by saying that my wife will win // he already gives an answer for this hearing, which has not yet taken place and as if he were the judge! A lawyer must fight for his client, even if his client is the worst serial killer! This lawyer is not professional, not serious, he wastes money unnecessarily, does not respond to emails, phone calls and voice mail that we leave him. Lawyer to avoid at all costs!!!

Red Flag- Do not recommend

The other negative reviews accurately reflect my experience with this joker of an attorney. He promises to help protect children from domestic violence and endangerment. He even offered a special discount, from a special place in his heart. He became wildly upset when asked to fix the hot mess he mad...e with my case due to “his failure to properly represent his clients”. He then accused me of not paying, but I had the receipt of his payment and he was so disorganized he couldn’t find the original contract. He had me prepare documents and write declarations for months. He missed hearings, didn’t submit evidence or declarations. When he did show up to hearings, he looked like the courtroom jester. The result ? One negative outcome after the other. Those positive reviews? Likely written by him and his secretary. Look up the “divorce” case in which he represented his “secretary”. It’s public record. Report this joker to the State Bar so no one else is duped into being a sideshow for the court room jester.

Best Lawyer In Town

Mr. Lander helped me when no one else would. He was not only aware of the laws that pertained to my case, he also knew how to best help me under my circumstances. I read the reviews that claimed Mr. Lander was not prepared or capable. That is totally false. Not only is Mr. Lander always prepared,... he was more than capable each time we appeared in court. If it wasn't for Mr. Lander, I am fearful of what would have become of me. In my book, a great Lawyer is someone that not only listens to you, he also is there for you 24/7, and that is definitely Mr. Lander. I highly recommend Mr. Lander to anyone that needs a Lawyer in El Dorado County. He is the Best Lawyer in Town.

Don't use this Lawyer, No Admin, No Paralegal support, poor follow through, missed motions, poor Court room skills

Don't use this Lawyer if you expect good results. Same a prior negative reviews. He does not have any support staff, No admin, No Paralegals. Didn't file needed documents with court. Didn't follow Local Court rules for filing on time. Quality of motions was a joke, when new lawyer saw copies she ...thought I wrote them myself. Will not commit to getting things done and then panics days before court asking me to get all sorts of documents as the last minute that he could have asked for months earlier had he given my case any thought. He talks a good story, He's a NICE guy, but he doesn't deliver as a Family Law Attorney

A poor excuse for legal counsel

Started with The Attorney's Referral Network. I called them and they referred me here. To a bad attorney. Mr. Lander told me he would cut me a deal if I didn't tell the Attorney's Referral Network. Apparently they take a cut. Should have been my first clue. I never saw a BILL. Ever. Never saw a pap...er. Never received a call-back. He did not do his job. I never knew WHEN we had court. He did not do anything I asked him to do. Yes, I am divorced - but that was all in the works before him. I even asked him to change my name back. That wasn't done either. I'm still hyphenated - at least to DMV and the bank. The only two places that care. He sent me a Substitute of Attorney to withdraw from the case when I complained to my ex-husbands counsel. Yes, I did that. I wondered WHY my own attorney couldn't do his job. SO I asked the opposing counsel. I should perhaps call the State Bar and make a TRUE and valid complaint. And tell them everything. A poor attorney and bad judgement on my part. Don't hire him.
