not professional at all !!

I contacted this lawyer to help me with my restraining order and to represent me at my hearing. During our first phone conversation, he asked me to email him 60 pages of restraining orders so he could see my wife's accusations against me. I had to pay over $120 for faxes. When this lawyer received my... restraining order, he called me to ask me 3 questions, this lasted 10 minutes. He told me that he would finish reading the restraining order and then call me back. I waited hours, days without a call from this lawyer. I left him emails, voice mails... he never answered me. I then decided to call him back and he told me bluntly that he could not help me because my wife's accusations were serious and he did not want me to lose my money. that my wife has a 97% chance of winning her case and that I should find another lawyer! This lawyer is not professional, serious, he made me waste my time, my money and when you are a lawyer, you do not speak to the client like that by saying that my wife will win // he already gives an answer for this hearing, which has not yet taken place and as if he were the judge! A lawyer must fight for his client, even if his client is the worst serial killer! This lawyer is not professional, not serious, he wastes money unnecessarily, does not respond to emails, phone calls and voice mail that we leave him. Lawyer to avoid at all costs!!!

FIVE STAR LAWYER!!!!! NOT OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!

Mr. Lander has been on my case since 2012. He is still there for me and my children. He has helped me and goes above and beyond!!!!!!! He IS NOT ALL about the money OR cold blooded like other attorney's. Mr. Lander will work with you when other attorneys drop you. Even if he can not take your case h...e will still hear you out and advice you once while other attorneys don't!!!! Other attorneys will charge you for a consult around $150 or more, but Mr. Lander will give you a free consult. Other attorneys will charge a huge retainer between 5,000 or more, Mr. Lander will work with you. Mr. Lander is a PIT BULL who also cares about his clients. Mr. Lander ALWAYS helps me!

Don't use this Lawyer, No Admin, No Paralegal support, poor follow through, missed motions, poor Court room skills

Don't use this Lawyer if you expect good results. Same a prior negative reviews. He does not have any support staff, No admin, No Paralegals. Didn't file needed documents with court. Didn't follow Local Court rules for filing on time. Quality of motions was a joke, when new lawyer saw copies she ...thought I wrote them myself. Will not commit to getting things done and then panics days before court asking me to get all sorts of documents as the last minute that he could have asked for months earlier had he given my case any thought. He talks a good story, He's a NICE guy, but he doesn't deliver as a Family Law Attorney

Exceptional Service

I find it very suspicious when people are unwilling to give their names in reviewing a lawyer. Especially when I know Mr. Lander is an exceptional attorney, and I would highly recommend him for anyone's legal needs. I retained Mr. Lander for a Family Law Matter, and I can say without question that ...I would recommend him to anyone and he provided exceptional service. I would not believe anyone that is not willing to put their name on their review. Sonja Morales

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
