Deborah Fayre Brown

Deborah understands how stressful family law issues are. She strives to minimize the disruption and strife associated with family law issues, but can also be tough when necessary. Her approach is tailored to each client’s unique situation and the client’s goals. She believes in custom, not cookie cutter solutions.

Deborah offers a variety of limited-scope options as well as full representation to address family issues including divorce, spousal support, child custody and child support, parentage, adoptions and guardianships. She has handled domestic violence issues, in criminal as well as family court, and DUIs and other misdemeanors.

Before becoming a lawyer, Deborah worked as a reporter, editor, and manager at small-town newspapers in Montana and California, and at the San Francisco Chronicle and other big city newspapers. She also has worked as an investigator on homicide, sex crimes and gang-related crimes, as well as on employment and housing discrimination matters. Her experiences honed her ability to investigate and evaluate situations thoroughly under deadline pressure, and to relate well with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
