In 2007, Mike Chastaine established Chastaine Jones, putting his comprehensive experience of
criminal law to work on behalf of those accused of criminal misconduct in the many counties and
communities surrounding Sacramento in Northern California. Before that, Attorney Chastaine
served 11 years as a Deputy Public Defender for Santa Clara County and worked for five years
in the county’s Alternate Defender Office before serving six years as “of counsel” to a well-
respected private practice firm in Sacramento. In 2021, preeminent trial attorney Martin Jones
took over the company and has been expanding the firm to help more people.

Great attorney who worked hard for a good outcome to my case

Did a great job
I retained the Chastaine law firm to help me with an arrest on flimsy grounds. Mike and his associate Jake got my arrest expunged from the record - and did a great job at getting everything filed to make that happen, and guiding me through the court process.
