Biography
After Litigating and Mediating Divorce and Family matters for some 16 years I've now turned all of my time and energies to Mediation. Quite simply: I find it deeply rewarding to help couples discover common ground, as they move into their new lives -- but I get little satisfaction from playing games with the other side in court. As a Family Law Mediator, I do draw on my experience in litigation, and my ten years of teaching in law school -- but I draw even more on my long carreer as a Professor of Family Sociology, with a focus on child development and families under stress. Now a Certified Specialist in Family Law, I remain a Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley.

All the other lawyers were just milking me. So I went to Donald Hansen to try hire him. He gave advice for free and told me to go to court since we already had severals lawyers and ex who stretched this divorce for 4.5 years.
