Biography
After law school, I became a deputy public defender, quickly gaining real-world experience to back up the skills I had built in law school by successfully competing in mock trial and moot court. I was able to quickly hone my courtroom skills by representing criminal defendants at all stages of the criminal process, winning nearly 2/3 of all my jury trials. For over a year, I was also accepting cases appointed to me by the California Court of Appeals to represent indigent criminal defendants in their California appeals, gaining valuable insight into the areas of trial and legal representation that can cause clients the most problems in court.
After leaving the public defender's office, I started taking on private criminal defense matters and civil cases. I handle all types of trials from employment law disputes to financial elder abuse to probate disputes to murder. My experience in conducting and winning trials is invaluable to anyone embroiled in litigation. In fact, I also take over cases from other attorneys right before trial when it becomes clear a matter is not going to settle and the current attorney does not want to take the case to trial.
