Joseph Andrew Hoffman

Hired Joe to get back $17,000 from a loan. He went through the motions and the guy who owed me the money, gave me $500. After that, Joe made promises on the phone and would never respond to my emails. Nothing has been paid since and Joe is a quitter. Guess he wants easy cases where he won't back out.... Shameful.

The case was fairly complex but all info was shared from the onset. After an initial consultation with Hoffman, contact was with a paralegal. There was but a single phone info exchange of apx 10 min duration with Hoffman. Seven months after a retainer contract was entered, Hoffman's receptionist sh...ared Hoffman stated my case would be too time intensive and his schedule was full. This was one day after he was informed AGAIN that payment was being provided through insurance group that he participates as an attorney, rather than the $350/hr when he accepted the case and he believed he would receive. Hoffman et al wasted 7 months of my time through inactivity. Thus "All about the money" is relevant only to HIS money.

After researching this lawyer, I decided to schedule a consultation with him as he claims to be a Family Law Specialist. Although I wanted to meet with Mr. Hoffman himself, I was scheduled with Ms. Himovitz, who I was assured worked closely with Mr. Hoffman. I met with Ms. Himovitz for an hour, exp...lained the facts of my case (which she had no direct experience with) and was told she would have to meet with Mr. Hoffman when he returned the next week and would be following up with me. I never received a follow up phone call or information that i was assured she would provide me. I have absolutely no intention of handing over thousands and thousands of dollars to a law firm that can not even follow through on an initial consultation which I paid for or provide the specialized services that I requested.
