Going to Jail @ 40

I was arrested in West Modesto after being falsely accused of attempted murder by a neighbor with ulterior motives. He had another male neighbor as a false witness, I felt doomed, had never been arrested. Mr. Baker gave light to this terrible experience. We went to trial and I was found not gui...lty, because Mr. Baker is devoted to his practice and is a Winner! If you went to jail and are going through some $H!t, hire Mr. Baker to fight your case. He not only is a outstanding attorney but he is vegetarian too!

1. BEST Lawyer in Stanislaus County that does his job

Mr. Baker was my husbands juvenile lawyer years ago and he recommend him and he would call him and set up a meeting which he did and said he would look into my case which he did and he is understanding if you have money problems he may manage a payment agreement plan with you i didn't even have to go... to the first court hearing he went on my behalf and was able to give us more time to go through the case so in my families book he's the best lawyer out here in Stanislaus County that actually does his job right

Gets it

Attorney Martin Baker Responded to my question about an 4 year old DUI Warrant which I was completely unaware of. I had just moved to a new state and was trying to secure employment when the Warrent appeared in my background check. I posted the question in Avvo And Mr. Baker was one of the 1s...t to answer. I questioned 3 of the Attorneys including Mr. Baker about my situation Mr. Baker was clear and concise about how to proceed and unlike the other 2 attorneys he wasn't pushing for a dollar amount he was concerned about the case and how that have it resolved. As I had Just move to another state and been unemployed for some time I was short on cash Mr. Baker was willing to work with his fee and get my case resolved promptly. Without him I don't know where I'd be, most likely I'd still stuck without a resolution. I am very grateful for Martin baker's help and professionalism in my opinion he is definitely a God send. I would absolutly recommend him to anybody seeking a great criminal defense attorney who knows his way around the courthouse and knows how to get things done!! Thank you Mr. Baker.

Wonderful Counsel

I was arrested in Ceres looking for a lost dog and was completely terrified. I had never been arrested before or even had a ticket. Mr. Baker was very kind and helped me through the whole process. He got my case dismissed because I was wrongfully arrested and he believed me from the beginning. Brilli...ant attorney, highly recommend.

Avoid Him At All Costs He took My Son under

If you're thinking about going with Martin Baker don't do it avoid him at all costs he is the worst attorney in the world I trusted him with my son's life my son was only 18 he had never been in trouble in his life tell me how he ended up with two strikes he screwed my son over for a deal on his othe...r client that's what he did that's what he did when I walked into his office he promised me that it was just going to be a simple shoplifting misdemeanor felony and my son ended up with two strikes avoid him in All cost he's a horrible horrible person all he had to do was get the surveillance and this would have been all over but he failed to do so he failed us

Replied last January 20, 2024

This client (the reviewer's son) voluntarily pled no contest to two robberies and three felony thefts after being made fully aware of the state of the evidence and the potential consequences of the plea. He has yet to be sentenced. As I make clear on my website, the only promise I will ever make to a potential or existing client is that I will do everything in my power to ensure that they are treated fairly and the best possible outcome is attained in their case. This case was prosecuted as a "career criminal" case under Penal Code section 999(e), which legally prevented the DA from entering into a plea bargain, leaving the defendant with the choice of "pleading open" or going to trial. In many cases, including this one, going to trial can present a risk of a much harsher sentence, even if one or more charges are ultimately not proven to a jury. Finally, it would be a very serious ethical violation for attorneys to trade a good deal in one case for a bad deal in another, as this review implies.
